The TRAUMA of Covid

I came across this AMAZING video of Simon Sinek, explaining his personal experience of the TRAUMA OF COVID. It's just a short snippet but it's GOLD, I encourage you to watch and see if you can relate.


He says - "You're going to suffer the trauma of Covid at some point."


And I couldn't agree more. As someone who has had multiple versions of this playing out over the past 2 years, it can be quite sneaky...


Here are some of the symptoms: • Depression (not usual for you) • Sadness (for no good reason) • Anger • Tired/exhausted • Don’t want to talk to anyone (withdrawing) • Can’t sleep • Antisocial • Unproductive • Unmotivated My own personal strategies for climbing out of this have been: • Reach out to friends who are good listeners • Reach out to a life coach or business mentor who can help you reframe where you are at to get you moving forward again • Have some relaxing body treatments to get you rebalanced, grounded and back in your body, as opposed to your ruminating mind (I know a great therapist that can help with that😁) • BE with where you are. FEEL it. Don’t resist it. This too shall pass (promise) • Take some ‘mental health days’ and do something that brings you joy (without the guilt) Sending you love on this crazy journey we are all on... and if you need someone to reach out to... you know where to find me 🙏
